Finding the right school for your child is important and can be overwhelming. There are decisions to be made about which school to choose, which programs are the best, and how to fund your child’s education. At Autism Academy, we are here to help you through the process and answer any questions you may have. Typically, our admissions process involves the following steps:

Complete the application – Complete the online application by clicking this link: Apply

The application must be submitted along with the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and $30 application fee. A member of our staff will notify the family of the application status and to schedule a tour.

Schedule A Tour

A tour of one of our campuses is the best way to gather initial information about the school’s programs. Tours include an overview of the school and its philosophy, a run-through of a typical school day, a review of the programs available, and details about the admissions process.

Student Interview & Observation

If the student is a qualified candidate for our program, AAED will set up a meeting with the family during which time a student interview and placement test will be conducted. The student interview also allows the family to discuss the student’s history and ask any questions that weren’t answered during the initial tour, and discuss funding options. After the student interview and placement test, AAED will review the student’s information to determine how to best meet the student’s needs.

Enrollment Agreement

If it has been determined that the student will be accepted, the parent will complete the process by signing into the parent portal where they will fill out student information and sign the enrollment agreement. Once the enrollment agreement is signed and funding has been verified, the student is placed in a class or on the waitlist.
