Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Certified Autism Specialist
Rebecca is originally from Massachusetts and moved to Arizona in 2008. After graduating from high school at 16 years old, she attended Arizona State University and was captain of the competitive cheerleading team. She graduated from ASU in 3 years with a bachelor’s degree in Speech & Hearing Sciences. She then worked for 2 years as a speech-language therapist for children with developmental disabilities and special needs. It was during this time where she developed a significant interest in Autism. Rebecca noted how closely communication and behavior were related. She decided to peruse her interest further and receive a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and also a graduate-level certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders. She completed her fieldwork teaching 1st-4th grade academic students at AAED’s Gilbert campus while also facilitating the behavior collaboration at all three campuses. She became Board Certified in 2017 and now works as a BCBA® consulting with and training teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and more.
